We had the good fortune of connecting with Eddy Rimada and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eddy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to share the benefits of yoga and meditation with as many people as possible.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I teach yoga/meditation and play crystal sound healing bowls professionally. I have become more excited about teaching children meditation. It started a few years ago with my private yoga clients hiring me to help with their kids. Now I am teaching meditation at two schools throughout Los Angeles. One is in my town of Altadena and the other is in Culver City that specializes with kids on the emotional spectrum. I have a natural ease around children as I have 8 nieces and nephews myself to which I am the favorite. I speak to them honestly and directly and they for the most part respond positively.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well depending how adventurous my friend is we would go camping or hit up all of the tourist attractions. With the walk of fame and my favorite Thai place being the highlight after the day at Matador Beach. One of the reasons why I moved out of Hollywood was to be much closer to the mountains. Now in Altadena I live at the foothills of the Angeles National forest. I love being able to walk from my front door into the trails on a long hike. California has some beautiful lakes and hot-springs that are still good to enjoy even in the middle of the drought.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would foremost would like to give acknowledgment to the universe and for speaking through Eben Oroz. He became a my first yogi friend slash mentor. As his friend I got to attend 11 of his meditation yoga retreats for free and as his student I was able to overcome the trauma that had plagued me most of my life. Stillness is the way in and the way through.
